Erik J. Hammett
Erik J. Hammett is one of the founding partners of Hammett & Galan Attorneys at Law.
Prior to being admitted to the California Bar, Mr. Hammett worked as a Certified Law Clerk for the Riverside County Public Defenders Office, honing his skills as a criminal defense litigator. Additionally, Mr. Hammett worked as a freelance civil litigation law clerk for various small law firms throughout the Inland Empire.
Since entering private practice five years ago, Mr. Hammett has brought three appeals to conclusion. Most notably succeeding in having a more than $700,000.00 attorneys fees award against his clients reversed. (Unpublished Risdana v. Duncan.) Additionally, Mr. Hammett has brought nearly one hundred trial level cases to conclusion, by either settlement, or judgment in his clients’ favor.
Currently, Mr. Hammett's practice focuses on criminal defense, and appellate law practice.

Jemima Galan
Jemima Galan is one of the founding partners of Hammett & Galan Attorneys at Law.
Born in Argentina, Ms. Galan is fluent in both English and Spanish. Prior to being admitted to the California Bar, Ms. Galan worked as a Certified Law Clerk for the Riverside County Public Defenders Office, honing her abilities as a criminal defense litigator, as well as using her linguistic skills to ensure that her clients obtained the best understanding of their legal issues. Ms. Galan also participated in the "Fresh Start Program" helping previously convicted clients obtain expungements and other forms of post-conviction relief. Additionally, Ms. Galan volunteered with the Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project translating various documents from English to Spanish.
During law school, Ms. Galan was the Chief Executive Editor of the University of La Verne College of Law Law Review Journal. During her tenure with the Law Review Journal, Ms. Galan published an article titled Banning, The Box, Building a Future; How Expansion of California's Legislation Would Mend The Threaded Strands Between Recidivism and Employment in Criminally Convicted Offenders, 37 U. La Verne L. Rev. 343 (2016).
Currently, Ms. Galan's practice focuses on criminal defense, post-conviction relief, and appellate law practice.
